A (De)quatification of the self
Weight is one of the quantifiable values of our body that is excluded from our identity card and social conversation. Although weight is an undisputed measurement of our existence and health at birth, it constantly transforms and altars the appreciation of our own form in adult life.
I wanted to translate a three dimensional human being, an identity, into a two dimensional number. During this event a camera recorded what happened on the scale. This gave the opportunity to calculate how many kilograms of visitors are fully experiencing the artwork. This number was shared in the space and on an online platform. This action aimed to reflect on our social behaviour: we tend to share nationality or age but never our weight.
